We chose social entrepreneurship as the focus for our major grant giving. It is the logical extension of what we do commercially and builds on our history of support in that area, most notably in strengthening and contributing to the local economy. It is also an area which our business professionals have significant experience in. With this in mind, we believe in giving back to the community and providing opportunities to those people who thought it out of their reach. As an impact investing company, ATI ranks social benefits and environmental sustainability as high as financial profit, in turn offering a unique answer to the problem of sustainability. In 2008 we created an annual program called The Big Start Entrepreneur Competition, which aims to cultivate, inspire and reward people’s interest and ambition towards entrepreneurship within the UAE.

We are strong believers in the concept of socially responsible and sustainable investments. We recognise it as a critical business imperative and will continue to review business choices based on sustainability. We support different initiatives within our portfolio and encourage green practices throughout our portfolio of ventures with an ultimate aim to create businesses that are aware of the importance of sustainability in the modern business world.
